Brisbane Riverwalk on track
Cyclists eagerly awaiting the re-opening of Brisbane's Riverwalk may not have to wait much longer.
The 900-metre river path connecting New Farm Park and the Howard Smith Wharves was spectacularly washed away in the January 2011 floods and cyclists and pedestrians have been forced onto New Farm and Teneriffe roads to commute to the CBD as reconstruction works have been undertaken.
The long-awaited Riverwalk is now on track for a September opening, according to the the Brisbane City Council.
