These easy to make balls are an ideal lunch box snack.
450g tamarind pulp
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1 ¼ cup sugar
¼ desiccated coconut
Combine tamarind pulp, chilli sauce, a pinch of salt and 1 cup of sugar in a bowl and mix together using your hands.
Divide the tamarind mixture into bite-size portions and shape into balls.
Mix ¼ cup of sugar and ¼ cup desiccated coconut in a shallow plate.
Add the tamarind balls, roll to coat evenly and serve.
