Eat & Drink in The City

Brisbane City is a culinary kaleidoscope offering everything from sumptuous burger joints and riverside bistros to laneway bars and hidden cafes.

Mother's Day at Esquire

We are proud to be home to the largest concentration of Brisbane Times Good Food Guide (2016) award-winners, with Queensland’s only three-hatted restaurant (and restaurant of the year!) – Esquire. Plus two-hatted ARIA, Esq. and Urbane, and one-hatted e’cco, The Euro, Il Centro, Malt Dining, Moda, Prive 249, Public and Sake.

Eagle St is a definite stand-out, not only in The City but in Brisbane as a whole. Boasting an incredible view of the Story Bridge and Brisbane River complemented by high calibre dining including local institutions Alchemy, Jellyfish, Bavarian Bier Café and Customs House, and recently opened favourites like Bar Pacino, Blackbird, Madame Wu and Riverbar and Kitchen.

New Shanghai Dumplings

Brisbane City is also a melting pot of worldly flavours with an ever-growing array of Asian eateries. Stand-outs for noodle, dumpling and sushi devotees include Izakaya Kotobuki, Sono, New Shanghai, Taro’s Ramen, Little Saigon Grill, Fat Noodle and Madtongsan II

Miss Kay's

Burgers and pizzas have certainly become staples in our diets, and luckily we can choose from a great range of gourmet burger and pizza cafes in The City. For a mouthwatering burger try Miss Kay's, Grill’d, Chur Express and Miel Container, and for a bellissimo pizza head to Coppa Spuntino, Corbett & Claude, Vapiano and Ciccio’s. If you love all things European, you can't go past much-loved Moda, Le Bon Choix, Jamie's Italian and Bavarian Bier Cafe.

Those who strive to eat a healthy diet are more than catered for in The City thanks to the ever-growing number of raw, paleo, gluten-free and vegetarian options including Pando Cafe, Kitchen Sanitarium, Felix for Goodness, Raw n Juicy, Kiss the Berry and Vege Rama.

After a caffeine fix or late-night tipple? Take a wander and you’ll discover cafes and bars in every direction. Head to Strauss, John Mills Himself, Marchetti, and Contessa to start your day with a coffee, and finish with nibbles and drinks with friends at Grape Therapy, The Gresham, Super Whatnot, Brooklyn Standard and Sonny's House of Blues.
