Group of people kayak on the Brisbane River

We love our sport. From home-grown rugby league clashes, to cricket at the famous Gabba ground or the action of the Brisbane International tennis. If you’d rather play sport than watch it, head to Kangaroo Point and hold your breath as you abseil 20m down the 20-million-year-old cliffs in just 20 seconds, or rock climb your way to the top.See Brisbane from a kayak as you paddle your way around every bend of the river, or see it from above on the Story Bridge Adventure Climb. Walk, run, cycle or rollerblade along more than 20km of the Riverwalk, or spend the day swimming and snorkelling at nearby Moreton or North Stradbroke Islands.

What's Hot

School holidays are here! Never fear – we’ve compiled a list of our favourite activities to get the teenagers off the couch and off your back.

Brisbane is filled with off-leash parks, dog-friendly beaches, camping areas and cafes that put out the welcome mat to dogs, and sometimes even their owners!

Brisbane Heat’s top run-scorer Chris Lynn is a proud ambassador for the city and shared with us some of his favourite local haunts.
