Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the first and largest venue of its kind in the world. In attractive natural settings on the Brisbane River, more than 130 koalas live there, alongside kangaroos, dingoes, wombats and many other Australian native animals.
You can cuddle a koala any time throughout the day and have your photo taken. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was established in 1927 with two koalas and continues to grow. It is home to a wide variety of Australian wildlife, with shows and activities presented daily.
Handfeed kangaroos and wallabies in the one-hectare reserve, and handfeed wild rainbow lorikeets twice a day - all in an idyllic setting on the Brisbane River. If you are feeling brave, you can have your photo taken holding a snake or baby crocodile. Afterwards, watch the amazing birds of prey fly high and swoop low in the free flight shows and then have your photo taken with an owl or wedge-tailed eagle after the show.
Enjoy a taste of the outback while watching award-winning sheepdogs in action.
