The University of Queensland Anthropology Museum celebrates the culture, arts and crafts of the indigenous peoples of Australia and the greater Oceanic region. The museum houses an extraordinary collection of ethnographic material, showcasing more than 19,000 artefacts and more than 6500 photographs. It is the largest of the university's museum collections and the largest university collection of ethnographic material and visual culture in Australia. Rare and unique items are displayed.
The anthropology museum welcomes visitors and researchers. Guided tours can be booked for the gallery, and researchers are invited to explore the collection.
