Ma Ma Creek - Tenthill Valley Drive
Mt Sylvia Road, MA MA CREEK, QLD 4347
Explore Lockyer Valley's south-eastern creeks and valleys under the Great Dividing Range. Ma Ma Creek's settler-built church is among the region's oldest buildings, and its historic cemetery contains pioneer graves and a memorial to three local brothers lost in France in World War I.
Horse riding and camping is available in Fordsdale. From Junction View, bushwalkers can explore the basalt ridges and rainforest gorges of Glen Rock Regional Park. This drive follows part of the Bicentennial National Trail but is not recommended for caravans or buses.
Directions: From Gatton take Gatton-Helidon Road towards Grantham. At the Lions Park turn left onto the Gatton-Clifton Road and head to the quaint villages of Winwill and Ma Ma Creek. Continue south to Mt. Whitestone and Fordsdale. At Heifer Creek turn left at Lagoon Creek Road. This scenic stretch (some gravel) offers great views along the way. Head north on Mt Sylvia Road into the Tenthill Valley and follow Blackfellow Creek back to Gatton through some of the most productive vegetable growing areas in the region.
