Interested in being a pilot? Try a cockpit on for size at the Caboolture Warplane Museum. Situated north of Brisbane, the Caboolture Warplane Museum houses working World War II aircraft and aviation engines, memorabilia and aviation displays and wartime exhibits.

Visitors to the Caboolture Warplane Museum can also practise in the flight simulator and learn how the engine of a plane works. The aeroplanes at Caboolture Warplane Museum have been restored and consist of P51D Mustang, CAC Wirraway, CAC Winjeel and Nieuport 17.

Static displays at the Caboolture Warplane Museum include model aircraft and the history of Australian aviation and wartime history of Australia. Other displays at the museum feature information on aviation accidents, such as the 1937 Stinson rescue in Lamington National Park.

The Caboolture Warplane Museum is open daily from 9am to 3pm, entry is $8 for adults, $5 for children (4-14 years) and seniors, or a family pass can be purchased for $18.
