From Australian reggae, soul and dub legends to international super stars, Island Vibe has been delivering the goods for nine years now.
Held annually on Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island) over three huge days in October, Island Vibe Festival is a multi-faceted celebration of Island Culture that includes art exhibitions, interactive workshops, stalls, circus, eco-food and craft markets.
Four stages and over 50 mighty reggae, roots, soul and electronic acts – including Indigenous and Pacific Islander dance and cultural groups – gather on Minjerribah for a celebration of music, dance, art and culture.
The world famous Point Lookout on Stradbroke Island is just 90 minutes from Brisbane, and the festival site itself is located in the park beside the stunning Home Beach, allowing festival-goers the opportunity to bask in the cooling azure waters of the South Pacific between performances.
Minjerribah (Straddie) is undoubtedly one of the most stunning places in Australia, with miles of pristine surfing and swimming beaches, abundant wildlife and the perfect place to hold a music festival.
Island Vibe Festival has hosted some of the World's biggest reggae, soul and dub artists over years including Chali 2na (from Jurassic 5), Easy Star All Stars, Cornerstone Roots, Ill Gates, Soulware, Soom T, Opiuo and many many more... Certainly not forgetting the talented local legends such as Blue King Brown, Dubmarine, Sticky Fingers, OKA, Nicky Bomba and the list goes on and on.
