Australian Indigenous Tribal Gallery

Institute of Modern Art (IMA)
Modern art in all its forms (such as music and dance, visual arts and indigenous theatre) has long been an area of focus at IMA. Founded in 1975 and housed in the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art, this institute continues to deliver programs dedicated to Brisbane’s emerging and established artists.
Museum of Brisbane
Located in the City Hall, the Museum of Brisbane (MoB) celebrates Brisbane’s past, present and future with an ever-changing program of social history, visual arts, craft and design exhibitions. Each MoB exhibition has a special and intriguing story to tell about Brisbane and the Brisbane way of life. La Boite

Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern of Art (GoMA)
Freshly refurbished and perfectly located by the Brisbane River, the Queensland Art Gallery is Queensland’s premier visual arts institution. Home to a significant and ever-expanding collection of works - including GoMA, Australia's largest gallery of modern art. This is a place where jaws drop and eyes pop. Over five levels, GoMA offers 5,825 square metres of exhibition galleries, a purpose-built cinémathèque, a children’s art centre, a research library, a restaurant and retail facilities … not to mention some of the most awe-inspiring art and architecture yet to grace the soils of this sunburnt country. Queensland Museum
This is the place for the young – and the young at heart – to experience hands-on encounters with some of the most fascinating creatures around. The Queensland Museum, located in the heart of the South Bank cultural precinct, is an innovative and stimulating museum of science, environment and human experience. Highlights include the Mephisto (the only remaining German tank from World War 1) and the Dinosaur Garden (where the life-size T-Rex replica reigns supreme). The Sciencentre – with its focus on interactive, science-based fun – is another Museum must-see for kids of all ages.
Queensland Maritime Museum
Embark on a voyage of discovery at the Queensland Maritime Museum. Located at the South Bank precinct at the foot of the Goodwill Bridge, the Museum pays homage to the maritime history of Queensland. Step back in time as you explore the Diamantina (a Royal Australian Navy frigate commissioned in 1945 and currently housed in the dry dock) or wonder at the workings of the Forceful – a river cruising steam tug built in 1925. It’s time to heed the call of history ... all aboard and anchors away!
Queensland Performing Arts Complex
With a history of sell-out musicals, plays, ballets, operas and concerts, The Queensland Performing Arts Complex has an unrivalled reputation for providing the right mix of location, space and service. The complex plays ‘second home’ to the state’s leading performing arts companies – Queensland Theatre Company, Queensland Ballet, Queensland Orchestra and Opera Queensland.
State Library of Queensland
Located in South Bank’s Cultural precinct, the State Library is one of Queensland’s best sources of culture and knowledge. And it’s not all about the books (although these are available in abundance), this knowledge house of Queensland history and culture is equal to any cutting-edge library in the southern hemisphere. The kid’s will also delight in the library’s Indigenous Knowledge Centre kuril dhagun – an Australian library first.
