Notice of Cultural Forecourt works

16 January 2018

Cultural Forecourt

To ensure that the Cultural Forecourt remains a best-practice, mixed-use space, refurbishment works will be conducted from Monday 9 October 2017 to late February 2018, weather permitting.

The works are designed to better facilitate pedestrian, event and vehicular access to the space, and will include new signage, new lighting, new landscaping and the installation of bollards and entry walls along the main entry ways at Russell Street, the QPAC ring road and the Clem Jones Promenade.

Works will take place from 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional night and weekend works. The Cultural Forecourt will remain partially open during these works, but to ensure that they are conducted safely, localised areas will be closed throughout. Please note that these refurbishment works may generate some noise and dust, but control measures are in place to reduce the impact on the public. Please also note that due to these works, the BRISBANE sign will be visible, but inaccessible to the public until March 2018.

Thank you for your patience during these works. If you have any questions, please contact South Bank on or 07 3156 366.
