The South Bank Parklands is one of Australia’s most pristine outdoor spaces.
Covering 17 hectares of riverfront land, the Parklands feature free swimming facilities, walking tracks, licensed picnic areas, stunning public art and The Wheel of Brisbane.
It is also home to a year-round calendar of events, many of them free, including Brisbane’s annual food and wine festival, Regional Flavours, Brisbane’s Christmas program, outdoor fitness classes, a children’s program, live music and more. If you’re feeling peckish, the Parklands is also home to plenty of cafes, restaurants and kiosks.
