Cycling & Running

Whether it is your morning commute, you're trying to get healthy, or you're training for an event, there are a number of great tracks in The City. These include the Bicentennial Bikeway, South East Freeway Bikeway and the Normanby Cycleway Link, plus there is convenient access into The City from South Bank via the Kurilpa and Goodwill Bridges. And to make it even easier to ride or run in The City, there is a Cycle Centre underneath the King George Square Bus Station, it offers racks, showers, lockers and laundry services. 


Mad Dance House, Adelaide St
Incorporate dance into your exercise regime at Mad Dance House and achieve the toned body of a dancer while getting fit and learning some new moves. There's a range of traditional classes including hip-hop, ballet, contemporary and jazz. Classes are available to all levels of experience. Mad Dance House's fitness-oriented classes also include Zumba, hip-hop, Pilates, dance boot camp, boxing and cardio, severe stretch and acrobatics.

Park Fitness

There are a number of regular free fitness classes offered by Brisbane City Council, including Tai Chi Qigong, boxing and weight-loss challenges in the City Botanic Gardens, and group fitness at the Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park. You'll also find various parks in The City chock-full of personal trainers, group fitness classes and boot camps that are available for you to join – just ask the instructors.
