Welcome back!
Queensland Art Gallery is now open.
Gallery of Modern Art reopens Friday 9 August.
While many of you have been enjoying art and inspiration at #homewithQAGOMA, they’re thrilled to be able to open the doors again and share some new exhibitions, refreshed galleries and a safe and comfortable space to explore.
The decision to reopen follows the Queensland Government Roadmap to Easing Restrictions which allows galleries and museums to open during Stage Two of the COVID-19 recovery. The Gallery is working with Queensland Health to finalise a site-specific COVID Safe Plan.
They look forward to you returning to the Gallery and want you to know the health and well being of visitors, staff and volunteers and the wider Gallery community is their top priority.
They’ll have a limit on the number of people in the Gallery to ensure safe distancing, increased cleaning frequency, handwashing and sanitiser facilities, and distance markers for queuing, to help keep you safe. Full details of these measures will be available closer to our reopening date.
