Join Ensemble Trivium on an exhilarating journey of thrilling, intense and uplifting chamber music with compositions from some of the 20th century’s most influential composers and a world premiere by Brisbane’s Thomas Green.

The concert opens with Nino Rota’s Trio for flute, violin and piano—a wonderful work full of intensity and lyricism. Rota is best known for his many film scores winning an Academy Award for Francis Ford Coppola’s Godfather II.

Following on, you’re in for a treat with Bartok’s rarely performed, profound and masterful Violin Sonata no 2.

Schulhoff’s shimmering and virtuosic Flute Sonata will make your spirits soar before the concert concludes with Thomas Green’s Trio ‘Queen’s Gambit’, commissioned especially for this concert.

An evening not to be missed!

Artists:
Monika Koerner, flute
Kristian Winther, violin
Brieley Cutting, piano

Stay for drinks and a chat after the concert!

Duration ~ 60mins.
