30 November – King George Square, Brisbane City
Brisbane’s towering 20m-tall Christmas tree is returning to King George Square, and on Friday 30 November you can witness the magical moment when its twinkling lights are switched on.
7-24 December, 15-minute shows from 7.30pm-midnight – King George Square, Brisbane City
With its enchanting narrative and creative flair, The Gold Lotto City Hall Lights has fast become a highlight of the festive season. Watch a playful Aussie Christmas tale come to life via animation onto City Hall every 15 minutes from 7.30pm.
7-19 December – Roma Street Parkland
Come and explore the magic of the Enchanted Garden at Roma Street Parkland this Christmas where a wonderland of glittering lights will mesmerise and delight all members of the family over eight nights.
12 - 24 December - St Stephen's Cathedral
Gather on the lawn at St Stephen's Cathedral to view the amazing light display with the whole family. This new show is designed by AGB the creators of Sydney’s Vivid Lightwalk.
8 December – Riverstage, Brisbane City
Ring in some Christmas joy at the 2018 Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols. This is a much-loved free family event held each year at the Riverstage venue in support of Mater Little Miracles.
14-23 December, nightly at 7pm – Queen Street Mall to King George Square via Albert St, Brisbane City
Brimming with music and merriment, this year's Christmas Parade comes complete with a nativity scene, Santa and dozens of performers to entertain and delight all ages.
14-23 December – River Quay, South Bank
We all love our Christmas movies and picnicking along the river with family and friends. What better way to combine the two with Christmas Movies at River Quay in South Bank! Think all of the Christmas classics, including Elf and Home Alone. Bring a rug to sit on and pillow to get comfy.
14-23 December – Stanley Street Plaza, The Arbour and Little Stanley Street, South Bank
Offering a range of traditional Christmas gifts, keepsakes, delicious fare and ornaments accompanied by the festive sounds of live music and carollers, South Bank's Christmas Village promises to make gift shopping a merry experience. Santa will also be onsite daily at Flowstate between 4:30pm and 8:30pm.
14-23 December, performances from 6-8pm – River Quay, South Bank
River Quay will come alive with Christmas carol concerts guaranteed to have the whole family singing along and tapping their feet, complete with summer night breezes and city views. Make sure you bring a picnic along with you - River Quay is licensed from 10am-8pm daily.
20-23 December, 8pm – vantage point best from Clem Jones Promenade, South Bank
See the summer night sky ignite in a flurry of colour over four nights this December. Bring the whole family along to the Clem Jones Promenade to enjoy a dazzling array of pyrotechnics that will take you on a magical Christmas journey.
