29 November – 6:30pm at King George Square, Brisbane City
Brisbane’s towering 20m-tall Christmas tree is returning to King George Square, and on Friday 29 November you can witness the magical moment when its twinkling lights are switched on.
6-24 December, 15-minute shows from 7.30pm-midnight – King George Square, Brisbane City
With its enchanting narrative and creative flair, The Gold Lotto City Hall Lights has fast become a highlight of the festive season. Watch a spectacular Christmas story come to life via animation onto City Hall every 15 minutes from 7.30pm.
29th November - 13 December – 6:30pm - 9:30pm at Roma Street Parkland
The ever popular and magical Enchanted Garden experience at Roma Street Parkland is back again. Weave through the towering trees and lush wonderland of glittering lights which will mesmerise and delight all members of the family over eight nights. Take a break from the twinkling track and enjoy the delicious food truck eats on the sprawling lakeside lawns. Visitors are encouraged to choose their own adventure and enter and exit via multiple access points throughout the parkland.
11 - 24 December - 12 minute shows from 7pm to 10:30pm at St Stephen's Cathedral
Gather on the lawn at St Stephen's Cathedral and marvel at the amazing new animated light show with your family and friends. This show celebrating peace, joy & goodwill takes place every 12 minutes and is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.
7 December – from 4pm at Riverstage, Brisbane City
No Christmas is complete without the Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols. Ring in some Christmas joy with Channel Nine's Charli Robinson and a host of other special guests and performances. This is a much-loved free family event held each year at the Riverstage venue in support of Children's Hospital Foundation. Plan to get there early with a picnic from 4pm with the star studded concert commencing after sundown.
13-22 December, nightly at 7pm – from Edward St to King George Square, Brisbane City
Brimming with music and merriment, the iconic Christmas Parade full of festive cheer comes complete with a nativity scene, dozens of performers to entertain and delight all ages and of course, the man in red himself!
South Bank's Carols Extravaganza
20-23 December – 6:45pm & 8:30pm at South Bank Piazza - $5 per person
Christmas is in the air at South bank as the Parklands transforms into a festive wonderland. The Southbank Piazza will be home to the Carol's Extravaganza, with eight spectacular performances in the production running for four nights. Purchase tickets from Monday 2nd December.
20-23 December, 8pm – vantage point best from Clem Jones Promenade, South Bank - Presented by EatSouthbank
See the summer night sky ignite in a flurry of colour over four nights this December. Bring the whole family along to the Clem Jones Promenade to enjoy a dazzling array of pyrotechnics that will take you on a magical Christmas journey.
