Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives | Until 26 August 

Featuring more than 200 artefacts from the world famous Egyptian collections of the British Museum, this exhibition help at the Queensland Museum will let you gain insight into the life and death of six individuals who lived in Egypt between 3000 and 1800 years ago.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical | 13 July - 30 August

Beautiful tells the inspirational true story of Carole King’s remarkable rise from teenage songwriter to global superstar after she fought her way into the record business. 

NRL Broncos |Until 2 September

The Broncos 2018 season will see major rivals return to Suncorp Stadium in head to head clashes. Can they go all the way this year? Show your colours and support your team at their home games.

Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) |10 - 19 August

The Ekka

Queensland’s largest annual event is back for its 142nd year. Held over 10 full days, the Ekka showcases life and achievements in the Sunshine State and welcomes visitors from all across Queensland and Australia to the heart of Brisbane. The event has grown from 17,000 visitors in its first year in 1876 and now averages over 400,000 visitors.

P!NK Beautiful Trauma World Tour 2018| 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21 & 23 August 

Renowned around the world as one of the most dynamic live performers of her generation, Australia’s favourite international pop icon P!NK is bringing us her Beautiful Trauma World Tour.

Bridge to Brisbane Day | 26 August 

Run/slowly die as you cross three of Brisbane’s most iconic bridges in this 10km fun run. Getting up bright and early on a Sunday morning may be a struggle but the sunrise and necessary café breakfast after makes it all worth it. 

Redcliffe KiteFest | 26 & 27 August

Having been deprived of GOMA’s contemporary art series for too long, we happily announce that the 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) will be available for viewing during spring and summer. Since 1993, the APT series has drawn more than three million visitors and boasts one of the world’s most significant collections of contemporary Asian and pacific art – so don’t miss it.

Woodford Folk Festival | 27 December – 1 January

In its 33rd year, Woodford Folk Festival will bring more than 2000 local, national and international performers to the stage over six days and nights. With over 35 performance venues within the village, festival-goers will be inundated with concerts, dances, street theatre, circus performances and cabarets.
