August - October 10
Six weeks of foodie heaven? Yes please. This culinary journey goes from 1 August - 10 October and allows you to taste local produce; partake in tours, events and masterclasses; venture on a foodie trail; and sample wines through a cellar door experience. It’s a packed program, but there’s plenty of time to do it all.
Step back in time to Ipswich’s new festival of heritage, held across 10 days from 27 August - 5 September. Showcasing the best heritage experiences and events Ipswich has to offer, it’s an event not to be missed, as you’ll explore iconic venues and historic sites and participate in open days, walking tours, demonstrations and workshops.
An iconic Redlands event, the RedFest Strawberry Festival celebrates – as the name suggests – all things juicy, red, sweet and tasty. Alongside the fruit, you’ll experience a vibrant mix of music, arts, cultural displays and entertainment in Cleveland from 6 - 8 September.
Pile in the kids and head to Moreton Bay for this family fun day out. From 11 - 12 September you’ll enjoy a weekend of colourful kite displays, aerobatics, jet ski stunt shows, children's activities, workshops, market stalls, food vendors and more.
Taking place at Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield in the Brisbane Valley, the Brisbane Air Show commemorates 100 years of the Royal Australian Air Force, and is dedicated to the men and women who have served in our armed forces. The show takes place from 16 - 17 October and will include a variety of military and civilian aircraft, spectacular aerobatic displays, scenic flights and more.
Straddie Oyster Festival on 13th November is a celebration of their Local Fresh Oysters and Prawns with Live entertainment by "Pippi Lips", with market stalls. Oyster Shucking Comp and Mud Crab Races are also a huge hit.
