The Scenic Rim is a must-visit for foodies, offering everything from five-star dining experiences and cosy heritage pubs to cooking up a storm with delicious local produce and sampling wines among the vineyards. Taste your way around some of the Scenic Rim’s best food and drink experiences.

Scenic Rim Cooking Classes 

Sharpen your cooking skills and savour the regions local produce at Scenic Rim Cooking Classes. Offering both private and group classes, Scenic Rim Cooking Classes are a hands-on cooking experience featuring seasonal produce from the beautiful Scenic Rim region and will give you the confidence to wow your next dinner party guests. The classes finish with a sit-down lunch or dinner. 

Kiff and Culture Tamborine Mountain Wine & Dine Tour 

Feast on gourmet food, great wine and award-winning tipples in the lush rainforest setting of Tamborine Mountain. Cruising through the verdant hills of the Scenic Rim you will sample a selection of artisanal spirits and liqueurs at Tamborine Mountain Distillery, enjoy wine tasting at Hampton Wine Tasting, taste delicious local cheeses and wines at Witches Falls Winery and Cellar Door, before a two-course lunch at Mason Wines. To wrap up the day, Kiff and Culture will take you to soak in the spectacular views at the Scenic Rim lookout before heading home.

Towri Sheep Cheeses 

Take a trip to Towri Sheep Cheeses, an artisan boutique sheep dairy and cheese room producing award-winning handcrafted sheep milk cheese. Opening the farm on first Saturday of each month, experience milking demonstrations, learn about the family-owned farm and create your own delicious platter using regional produce. Towri Sheep Cheeses also hosts cheese making workshops to create personalised, handmade cheese followed by morning tea, lunch, grazing platters and local wines. For bigger groups, book a bus tour to cuddle a sheep and explore the private French style gardens. 

Eat Local Month

Eat your way around the Scenic Rim at the yearly Eat Local Month in June. The festival of food and farming has something for foodies of all ages with plenty of free and low-cost activities from farm tours and cooking demonstrations through to exclusive dining experiences hosted by some of Queensland’s top chefs.

Scenic Rim Brewery & Café Tour 

Scenic Rim Brewery & Café is a small family-owned brewery located in the picturesque town of Mount Alford. The heritage listed building houses the brewery and the café dishes up regional produce. Sit back and relax to take in the view with friends, order a tasting paddle and enjoy live music. For beer enthusiasts, book a tour to try the beer, have a yarn with the head brewer, learn how to pour a beer and take a behind the scenes tour.

Farm Gate Trail 

Renowned for its abundance of local produce, the Scenic Rim is a food lovers paradise. Held a few times a year, Destination Scenic Rim’s Farm Gate Trail is the perfect food road trip. Soak in the scenery while venturing to over twenty local producers to explore beyond the farmgate to stock up the esky with farm-fresh produce. From fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan meat, local wines, spirits and beers to dairy goods, flowers and honey straight from the hive, keep an eye out for the next Farm Gate Trail to explore the best of the region.
