Day one

Morning

Start your day the sweetest way with a hands-on baking or cake decorating class at Contemporary Cakes at Daisy Hill. Learn how to bake the perfect mud cake, make macarons or create sugar flowers to decorate a cake. Class numbers are small, giving you the chance to hone your skills and receive personalised attention from award-winning baker and teacher, Jackie.

Work off the morning’s sweet treats by taking a short drive to Berrinba Wetlands to explore the serene and picturesque wetlands. It has more than 8km of shared walking and bicycle tracks and is home to native wildlife including birds, possums and gliders. There is also interactive environmental education and state-of-the-art play equipment to keep kids entertained.

Afternoon

Head to St Coco Café at Daisy Hill for a healthy and hearty lunch. This fresh and fun café serves delicious meals that look as good as they taste. From jackfruit tartine to brisket burger to organic acai, St Coco caters to all appetites and dietary requirements including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan.

Swing by one of Logan’s oldest industrial buildings and marvel at its transformation into the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct. Now a home for local and big-name artists, KBF has a year-round program of art, culture, festivals, markets and entertainment. Catch a play in the Butterbox Theatre, see a live concert on the Outdoor Stage, take a tour of the Living Museum of Logan and learn about the city’s pioneering past at the Logan City Historical Museum. If you’re feeling peckish, stop by Devon Pixies teahouse in the beautifully restored workers cottage.

Evening

Book into your spacious apartment or suite for the night at the Gloria Hotel, centrally located in Springwood. Grab a bite to eat at the on-site American Bourbon Bar and Grill from its hearty menu of wings, ribs, burgers, salads and steaks.

Spend your evening being entertained at the world-class Logan Entertainment Centre. There’s always something to see at the city’s premier entertainment venue with a year-round calendar of musical theatre, plays, illusionists, international musicians and comedy acts. Retire for the night at your hotel, which is just a short 10-minute drive down the road.

Prepare for a spot of relaxation and meditation at the stunning and tranquil Chung Tian Buddhist Temple in the leafy nearby suburb of Priestdale.
