Insider tip: The view of City Hall's clock tower is rather impressive, as are the truffle Parmesan chips. 

Sazerac Bar

Are you ready to take it to the top? 30 floors, in fact. Sazerac Bar is the city's highest bar occupying the 30th floor of the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at 99 Mary St. The carefully crafted concoctions paired back with tapas and funky beats are the perfect match for sweeping city views. 

Insider tip: Tuesday is martinis and manicures, Wednesday is wine down and Friday is eats and beats.

This rooftop bar is a subtropical oasis set high above Fortitude Valley’s entertainment precinct. Head up the stairs to find a sleek and minimalist decor with plenty of greenery, cement tables and wooden day beds. The bar serves up an original mix of cocktails and is a classy place to stop by for a few drinks and graze the bar menu.

Insider tip: Thursday is Ribs & Red night. From 4pm, get a plate of ribs plus a glass of Cloudy Red Pinot Noir for $20.

Lennons Pool Terrace

Step off Queen Street Mall and ride the elevator to the fourth floor. You’ve arrived at Lennons Pool Terrace. Part of the new Next Hotel, the bar is perfectly positioned to grab a drink in the city with a side of people-watching. Grab an intimate setting for two overlooking Queen Street Mall, or stand around large bar tables on the terrace with your crew.

Inside tip: On Friday nights, Lennons Pool Terrace hosts Pooltino, a Latin-inspired party with tapas, drinks and entertainment to match.

Only open one day of the week, Eagles Nest (located above The Point) is the perfect spot for a Sunday session. Be sure to head before sundown as its Kangaroo Point location means you’re looking back across the river at Brisbane’s CBD, and the sunset colours look brilliant as they bounce off the glass buildings.

For something a little bit more intimate, Spicers Balfour has a somewhat secret rooftop bar. Diners at the restaurant or patrons of the hotel can make use of the small bar that has stunning views of the Story Bridge from its location in New Farm.

Insider tip: Delicious canapes are served daily from 6pm for in-house guests.

Soleil Pool Bar is the place to be seen on Sunday afternoons. Tan on the pool deck, lounge around the main bar and dance to live DJs as they spin the tracks of summer while the sun sets. This is poolside party with a touch of glamour. Find it on the terrace of Rydges South Bank.

Insider tip: Bacchus Restaurant is also located on the same level at Rydges in South Bank. Have a drink at Soleil before heading in for fine dining.

The Stock Exchange building has been around since 1863, so we’re sure she’s had plenty of makeovers in that time. A recent renovation turned this old girl’s rooftop from drab to fab with fairy lights, hanging plants, and new tables and chairs for the perfect garden party vibe.

Insider tip: Join the throngs of office-workers on a Friday evening for afternoon drinks with a buzzing vibe.

Dandy’s Rooftop

Dandy’s Rooftop is a fun and playful space set at the top of The Fox Hotel in South Brisbane. With a tennis theme, AstroTurf, bright umbrellas and coloured wooden tables, this space says "summer" all year round. Head on up for cocktails jugs, good vibes and tasty bar food.

Insider tip: No need to go hungry, Dandy’s menu includes grilled skewers, pizzas, bruschetta and flatbreads. The unique cocktail menu is 24 drinks strong.

Perched upon the 11th floor of 757 Ann St, take in the sweeping views of Brisbane city at all-day venue, Eleven. The venue will serve European-style share plates, light breakfasts, coffee and cocktails in sleek and stylish surrounds. 

Insider tip: To find your way, keep an eye out for the blue neon signage that may tempt you to discover what lies 11 floors up.
