It’s no secret, planning a feast for family and friends can be a huge stress. And after the year we’ve had, we think you deserve a treat. That’s why Brisbane’s best restaurants are throwing open their doors and welcoming you to delicious Christmas meals to suit every taste. See our top picks below, and prepare for a celebration to remember.
Everything is better on a boat and Christmas is no different. Kookaburra Cruises is hosting the ultimate Christmas experience onboard their fleet this year. Pop on your best Christmas boat attire (hint - elastic!) and jump on for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. No need for stress, with delicious food being prepared for you, so you can enjoy time with family and friends cruising on the beautiful Brisbane river.
Let Nonna put her feet up this year while everyone enjoys a four-course Italian feast at Persone. The set menu starts with antipasto followed by a fresh lobster entree, then roast porchetta with roast vegetables and salads. Just when you think you’ll burst, there’s a Christmas-themed dessert. Bellissimo!
Take a step back in time and celebrate Christmas overlooking the lush, green Brisbane City Botanical Gardens from Old Mineral House. Instead of slaving over a hot stove and cleaning up after, enjoy Walter's good, old-fashioned service. The share menu starts strongly with oysters, king prawns, duck liver parfait and a Moreton Bay Bug salad. Not to be outdone, the main event is Walter's signature porterhouse steak and a turkey ballotine with the restaurant's best sides. And if you’re not already sold, there’s key lime pie, warm pumpkin pie, blood orange trifle and NY cheesecake. Secure your spot.
