Pre and Post Game at Suncorp Stadium - Visit Brisbane

Pre and Post Game at Suncorp Stadium

With tickets sorted, it’s time to plan the pre- and post-match entertainment activities. There is an abundance of wining and dining indulgences to enjoy in the precincts surrounding Suncorp Stadium.

Caxton Street

For devotees of Suncorp Stadium, a visit to the neighbouring Caxton Street precinct is a must-do pre or post-match ritual.

With eight beer taps and more than 150 bottled brews on offer, you're sure to find something to cure your thirst. Beers and ciders are sourced from Australian-owned microbreweries, so expect to find brews from Bacchus Brewing Co., Little Creatures, Ballistic and Modus Operandi on rotation.

Caxton Hotel

The Caxton Hotel, Brisbane

The iconic Caxton is home to a bevy of spots to kick back with a beer, including the renowned Cauldron Bar, and has an award-winning restaurant, The Char Grill. The car park turns into a giant outdoor bar too, making it one of the most popular venues to enjoy the revelries.

Fritzenberger knows the value of the frites. Not just a side dish, they’re a compliment to the burger itself. Heck, there’s even a gourmet salt station. Locally-sourced beef, with perfectly made chips, coupled with in-house brewed beers make for the perfect meal out. They’re also hosting some not so secret dance parties in ‘the bunker’ on the corner of Caxton Street and Petrie Terrace – if you’re down for some disco, house, and something a little deeper book your tickets here.

Black Hide Steakhouse

If you are looking for a supreme exclusive collection of world-class beef, look no further. Black Hide Steakhouse offers fresh local produce paired with exquisitely cooked steak in atmospheric surrounds. If you want to taste it all, take advantage of the share plates and make sure you get a side of the lip-smacking Wagyu fat-roasted potatoes.

Gambaro Hotel

Partied a little too hard? Gambaro’s Hotel is conveniently located right on Caxton Street. It has 68 luxury rooms and an award-winning restaurant, and is the perfect place to rest your weary head.

The Barracks

On the well-worn path from The City to Suncorp Stadium, the Barracks is the perfect pit stop for wining and dining.

Dine on hawker-style French-Vietnamese cuisine and sip on hand-crafted cocktails as you soak up the game day atmosphere. Serving up a seven-dish banquet, you sure won’t go hungry.

Just up the road from Suncorp Stadium is one of Brisbane's coolest suburbs, Paddington. And there are plenty of places to pull up stumps before and after the game.

Kettle & Tin

Kettle & Tin

Kettle & Tin has formed its own playful persona with hand-drawn artworks sketching their way across the walls and a comprehensive cocktail list, featuring no less than four types of Bloody Marys. Check out the menu for an extensive list of share plates designed to showcase the region's fantastic produce.

The Paddo Tavern

A schooner at the Paddo is as Queensland as it gets. Soak up the Brisbane weather out front in the beer garden or head inside, catch a game on the big screens and lap up the atmosphere of being in the shadow of the almighty Suncorp Stadium.

Darling & Co

Darling & Co

A tipple at the Darling is just what the doctor ordered prior to a game, with a relaxed yet refined feel and lots of scrummy food options. The different spaces ooze comfort and modern Brisbane style, while the cocktail menu is packed with gems to keep the summer heat at bay.

Meander down Milton Road to discover a treasure trove of not-so-well-hidden bars and brewhouses perfect for wetting your whistle.

Newstead Brewing Co

newstead brewing co

Right across the road from the Stadium, Newstead Brewing is impossible to miss. This microbrewery, pub and restaurant houses itself in a lofty rustic warehouse and features Newstead Brewing Co beers on tap, plus a rotation of local favourites. If you're not a beer fan you probably shouldn't be at a brewery, but Newstead also has craft spirits, a selection of wine and a kitchen to get you ready for kickoff.

The Scratch Bar

Get comfy with a small crew at The Scratch and indulge in an assortment of quality beverages on Park Road. Couches down the back will house a larger group but otherwise try to trim the squad to 4-ish for a table to yourselves. Feeling that social drink itch? This is the spot.
