Experience Brisbane’s historical fort by night in a new tour

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of wartime on this brand new historical night tour.

History comes alive through the story of local lad and decorated war hero Lieutenant Colonel Raymond Augustus Stanley at 7pm every Thursday at Fort Lytton.

Fort Lytton at Night

Professional actors with the help of state-of-the-art lanterns bring Stanley’s story to life as you wander through the historic fort in a small group.

Lost stories from the Great War are told through light, projection and sound at the heritage-listed Fort Lytton, which acted as Brisbane’s front line of defence from 1881 to 1930.

Stanley himself dabbled in photography and many of his photographs are used during the theatre promenade experience, where visitors get to walk through the historic fortifications.
