Cumquat House

10 Salisbury Road, Ipswich, Queensland 4305

Images

Cumquat House, built in 1914, is a stunning example of mission revival architecture and recent refurbishments and styling have added a fresh contemporary elegance.

On a quiet street within an easy stroll of the CBD, Cumquat House offers five suites each with en suite and balcony, and each with a moniker that links back to some historical aspect of the building. ‘Emsworth’ for example, is named for the birthplace of its builder, and ‘Woodford’ for the first owner, John Harry Woodford.

Rooms include a fridge and coffee and tea making options but guests also have access to a spacious shared kitchen.

Cumquat House is a great option for those seeking a night or two in the heritage city. It is within an easy stroll to city attractions such as Pumpyard Bar and Brewery and Dovetails restaurant in the 88 Limestone precinct, Ipswich Antique Centre and The Cottage restaurant.
