How to get to Lockyer Valley
The picturesque Lockyer Valley is conveniently located less than one hour’s drive west of Brisbane, and 90 minutes from the Gold Coast.

From the airport
The Airport Flyer is a mini-coach commuter service between Toowoomba and the Brisbane Airport, stopping at both terminals. Passengers travelling to and from Gatton, and other centres en route to Brisbane, also are catered for as the service stops at a number of convenient places along the Warrego Hwy. The journey takes under two hours.
Visitors disembarking at the airport also can travel by Airtrain to the Central station in the city and then take connecting rail and bus services to Lockyer Valley.
Take the Ipswich train from Brisbane to Rosewood and then connect with TransLink bus route 539, stopping at destinations within the Lockyer Valley. TransLink is a division of the Department of Transport and Main Roads. For details, visit translink.com.au, or phone 13 12 30.
Road
The region’s largest town, Gatton, is 40 minutes east of Toowoomba. From Brisbane, take the Ipswich Motorway (M7 and M2) and follow the signs to Toowoomba. Exit on to the Warrego Hwy, which runs directly through the Lockyer Valley.
Bus
Apart from TransLink bus route 539, Greyhound Australia provides daily coach services between Brisbane and Toowoomba, stopping at Plainland, UQ Gatton Campus, Gatton and Withcott. The service also will stop at Grantham, Helidon and Helidon Spa on request.
