How to get to Moreton Bay Region
The Moreton Bay region is located just north of the Queensland capital, Brisbane and immediately south of the Sunshine Coast.
Just a 40-minute drive from Brisbane’s city centre, the Brisbane Airport and the Port of Brisbane, the region is served by the six-lane Bruce Hwy, part of the east coast national highway network. From the west, road access is from D’Aguilar Hwy which in turn connects with major highways into New South Wales and to other parts of Queensland.
The Brisbane Airport offers both domestic and international flights to Brisbane, with transport links to the Moreton Bay Region.
If you are looking to make a day trip, public transport takes away the stress of driving and can be quicker, easier and usually cheaper than driving. Much of the region is accessible by the Queensland Rail network, including stations in the heart of the Caboolture and Strathpine CBDs. Bus options are also available.
For further information on visiting, call or visit one of Moreton Bay region's Visitor Information Centres, they are open every day (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday).
