To celebrate turning 20 years, Roma Street Parkland is throwing a weekend-long Big Picnic with live music and food trucks on 10 and 11 April 2021.
From 10am-4pm daily, take up residency across Celebration Lawn’s sun-dappled green and rejoice in the biggest sub- tropical Parkland, southside of the globe. Taste test a variety of food truck offerings or spoil in specially curated picnic hampers from the Parklands grazing ground, The Garden Room Café - please pre-book hampers via The Garden Room online ordering form; alternatively, BYO spreads are welcome.
Sway to the sounds of Gypsy Jazz, with a line up musical talents including Jazz Australis, Javier Spicer Trio, Mimi & the Cats and more. Guests are welcome wine and dine on the Parkland’s green, or simply raise a celebratory glass to 20 years of Roma Street Parkland, with the outdoor venue licensed from 10am- 8pm.
Tickets for this event are limited and require pre-registration to attend.
To ensure public safety, several COVID Safe measures will be in place during Big Picnic. These measures are per the Queensland Government’s COVID Safe Events Framework and Checklist and include a free pre-registration process and additional hygiene methods. Expand your knowledge on the Parkland’s history and horticulture during your visit, as Guided Tours return to Roma Street Parkland. Over the weekend-long event, three specially designed tours will take place daily including Bush Tucker and the Rainforest, 20 years of Roma Street Parkland and Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place.
