There is limited car parking within Roma Street Parkland, so to avoid disappointment, it is strongly advised that public transport is utilised.
The nearest public undercover car park is King George Square public car park, which is only a 10 minute walk from the Parkland.

Your enchanted journey & ‘The Path Less Travelled’
This year patrons are encouraged to create their own enchanted journey, with 7 identifiable entry and exit points included within this year’s lighting trail. Whilst visitors will be able to enter and exit at any stage long the path, we suggest undertaking your journey in an anti-clockwise direction around the parkland.
The Path Less Travelled is a novel lighting trail added to this year’s format, so patrons have the option to take a different route during high foot traffic periods along The Fern Gully Bridge.
Please refer to the map to view this year’s entry and exit points and The Path Less Travelled, please click here.
Thanks for your patience
The Enchanted Garden is an extremely popular, free Brisbane event, and as such attendance periods throughout the program are very high. We have taken high foot traffic into consideration when programming this year’s event, however during busy periods we expect congested zones throughout the parkland. Given this, please note that there may be points during the trail where you may be required to move slowly and temporarily wait until the crowd starts moving again.
Get your steps up & accessibility
Wondering how long The Enchanted Garden is? The complete walk from Queensland Greats Wall through to the end of the Rainforest is approximately 750 metres, however there are opportunities to make your journey shorter or to take a seat and enjoy the scenery.
Although there are no steps throughout the pathways, we do advise you wear comfy shoes for gradual inclines/declines, and in case you are required to move slowly during peak attendance periods. The Enchanted Garden is an accessible event with wheelchair access throughout.
Blame it on the rain
Storms and rain are frequent throughout the summer periods and can be expected to take place during the Enchanted Garden program. In the event of a storm or heavy rain occurring, The Enchanted Garden may be closed or opening may be delayed. In this instance please check the pinned post at the top of the Roma Street Parkland Facebook page for updates.
Pups in the park
Dogs are permitted in The Enchanted Garden provided they are kept on a lead at all times and waste bags are utilised when required. Once again, please consider that this event caters for high levels of foot traffic and how your dog may react to these crowds.
Although not included in The Enchanted Garden this year, the Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place does not allow for dogs.
The Enchanted Garden is a festive hub, complete with premium food truck eats from stalwart vendors, Happy Soul Bowl and Juice Power as well as Flavours Of Eataly, Bill's Burgers, Koma Sliders, Rolling Stone Pizza, Ruby the Little Red Ice Cream Van, Char Kor BBQ, Dippin Dots, Gelato a Go-Go, Jabbawocky Grind, Kraut N' About, Mr Kebabie, Sate House and Wild Rissole. As well, available on selected nights will be Mac from Way Back, Catch and Kiss Seafood and One World Food Truck.
Or, indulge in Roma Street Parkland’s newest fully licensed, culinary offering – The Garden Room Café, serving specialty bites into the evening. Please note that making a booking at The Garden Room will not give you priority access into The Enchanted Garden.
Additional theatrics & displays
Please note that this year’s Garden display contains some strobe lighting, laser lights and a fog machine. The fog machine contains non- toxic fog and will be utilised on Weeping Fig Avenue - a well ventilated area of the Parkland. If you have any queries regarding these elements of the event, please contact us direct on [email protected] or via Roma Street Parkland’s Facebook page.
