The Scenic Rim, Brisbane’s World Heritage-listed backyard, is home to lush rainforests, spectacular mountain ranges and ancient landforms. With luxury lodges, stunning scenery and an abundance of locally produced food and wine, the Scenic Rim is the ideal destination for an adventure. Tamborine Mountain, Lamington National Park, Canungra, Lost World Valley, Mt Barney, Boonah and neighbouring communities each offer a little slice of paradise.
It has the word S-C-E-N-I-C in its title, so don’t expect anything less than epic mountains, lush valleys, dry plains and wide open roads.
While in the region, take the opportunity to taste the fruits of the Scenic Rim at its cafes, restaurants and bars.
The beautiful and picturesque Tamborine Mountain has a rich history and its fair share of food and wine experiences. Pack a camera, you’ll be needing it.
There's plenty of reasons for city-dwellers to jump in the car and check out the Scenic Rim.
Don’t go chasing them – or, actually, do. Just pack lunch, a camera and an extra pair of socks because you’ll be surrounded by water in the rainforest all day.
The Tooloona Creek circuit combines the very best that Lamington National Park has to offer - scenic waterfalls, boulder-strewn creeks, tall rainforests, gnarled Antarctic beech trees.
