The Parklands

The Parklands is known for its expansive greenspaces and is home to a variety of family-friendly experiences and activities including free swimming facilities such as Streets Beach and Aquativity, walking tracks, playgrounds, picnic and barbecue areas and The Wheel of Brisbane. Little Stanley Street

Little Stanley and Grey Streets

Little Stanley Street is a bustling dining strip offering an array of international cuisines styles and atmospheres overlooking the picturesque Parklands. Running parallel on Grey Street, there are more dining and bar options and if you’d like to extend your visit there are three hotels - Emporium Hotels South Bank, Mantra South Bank and Rydges South Bank. The Street also houses South Bank Cinemas if you’re keen to watch the latest films.

Cultural Precinct

South Bank is home to several of Queensland’s major cultural institutions including the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, State Library of Queensland and Queensland Museum and Sciencentre. It is also hosts plenty of events and exhibitions throughout the year at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
