Little Days Out Craft

Held amid the shady trees of the South Bank Parklands, Little Days Out is a series of free children’s workshops designed to suit all interests and skill levels. It’s on every Thursday from 9am-1pm (taking place from February - November), with locations and activities changing each week, so there’s always something new to enjoy!

29 March - Easter Workshop at Picnic Island Green

Kids can play interactive Easter games and create unique Easter art whilst enjoying the great outdoors!  

5 April - Tiny Dancers > Ballet Athletics and Storytime Sessions at Little Stanley Street Lawns North

Queensland Ballet’s Tiny Dancers classes are set within a framework of storytelling, exploration and artistic play, and encourage creative movement, personal expression and greater confidence. Brisbane City Council Libraries will also be onsite with their First 5 Forever interactive story time sessions!  

12 April - Sports Activities and Craft Workshop at Little Stanley Street Lawns North

Everyone’s a winner! Kids can participate in sports inspired activities and craft.  

19 April - Soccer Workshop at Rainforest Green

A fun soccer workshop for kids providing the perfect opportunity for kids to have fun and get active.  

26 April - Rugby Workshop and Story Time Sessions at Picnic Island Green

Rugbytots is a fun, sports-based program that’s designed to help children develop their physical, psychological and social skills, through the platform of rugby. Brisbane City Council Libraries will also be onsite with their First 5 Forever interactive story time sessions!

3 May – Dance-A-Story > Superheroes at Little Stanley Street Lawns North

Kids transform into dancing superheroes in this fun ballet and creative movement class.

10 May – Mother’s Day Craft, Stories and Games at Arbour View Lawn

Enjoy stories, play fun and interactive games and create a unique card as a special memento for Mother's Day.

17 May – Interactive Play > Blast off to the Super Solar System at Little Stanley Street Lawns North

Kids will learn about the planets spinning around the sun and the twinkling stars up above in this interactive play workshop.

24 May – City Musical Playdate at Picnic Island Green

Kids can experience a fun and musical adventure about people and places in the city. Designing their own city building using different shapes with Kapla Blocks.

31 May - Rugby Workshop and Story Time Sessions at Little Stanley Street Lawns North

7 June – Early Childhood Music Class at Little Stanley Street Lawns South 

Fun-filled half hour sessions of singing, games, rhymes, finger plays, lullabies, dancing and stories.

Fun soccer sessions for boys and girls aged 2-10. Kids will have a great time running around and burning off all their excess energy. Brisbane City Council Libraries will also be onsite with their First 5 Forever interactive story time sessions!

28 June – Interactive Play > Ciao! Italy at Rainforest Green

Kids will learn about Italy in this interactive play workshop - make imaginary pizzas, build leaning towers and dance the Tarantella.
