South Bank Health and Safety Update

17 December 2021

Queensland Health directives in relation to public health from 17 December 2021 have changed. More information in relation to these directives can be found on the Queensland Health website.

Restrictions are in place for people who are not fully vaccinated and are aged 16 and over.

Impacts to visitors to South Bank Parklands are follows:

- Patrons aged 16 and over to events hosted in South Bank Piazza including The South Bank Christmas Show and Carols in the Piazza are required to be double dose vaccinated to attend. This is because the South Bank Piazza is classed as an indoor festival venue. Patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination upon entry to events hosted in South Bank Piazza. Information on how to do so is located at the Queensland Health website.

- South Bank Parklands’ other Christmas events (Christmas Cinema, Kid’s Craft and Storytelling, Santa’s Stopover and Festive Beats) are classed as outdoor events, so vaccination is not required for patrons to attend.

- Vaccination is not required to visit outdoor parklands spaces.

- Patrons to cafés and restaurants are required to be double dosed vaccinated to be permitted entry. Please contact the relevant café or restaurant direct should you have any questions or concerns.

Details on how to show your vaccination status are located on the Queensland Health website. When you visit South Bank Parklands, please follow Queensland Health directives for public safety in relation to COVID-19. Thank you for your cooperation.
