South Bank offers an abundance of walking paths, facilities and programs that will help you get fit and toned - for free! The parklands also offers a place of relaxation and respite, because health and wellness isn’t just about keeping active.

South Bank has some of the best urban walking tracks in Brisbane, such as the bougainvillea dripped Arbour path and the riverfront stretch of the iconic Clem Jones Promenade which joins a city loop via Kangaroo Point. So whether it’s jogging on sunrise, stepping out on your lunch break or making the most of the warmer evenings there is plenty of opportunities to get your legs powering at South Bank.

Feel Good Program South Bank

Free fitness classes and wellness talks

From 30 September - 30 November the Medibank Feel Good Program will be dishing up free fitness classes and Wellness Talks at South Bank Parklands. Classes range from Yoga, Pilates, Aqua, HIIT, Ballroom Dancing, Mums and Bubs and more, and are run by qualified instructors from Good life Health Clubs. Wellness Talks are held fortnightly on Saturdays at Flowstate; here you can learn all about health and wellness in everyday life from a stellar line-up of certified practitioners and industry leaders.

Streets Beach is one of Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks, and if you make it before the summer crowds, it is the perfect location for a morning or evening swim. The lagoon operates from dawn until dusk with lifeguards operating extended hours throughout the warmer months. Once you have fulfilled your exercise quota, you can sit back and absorb some rays while soaking up the picturesque city skyline.
