Ignite your imagination in SparkLab, the new Sciencentre experience at Queensland Museum. Follow your curiosity and bring out your inner scientist as you question, investigate and wonder about the world around you. Explore 40 interactive exhibits across three zones and discover how science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) affect our everyday world.

Xpress Fun Train

The Xpress Fun Train is a trackless train that will wind its way around South Bank Parklands, it's a perfect family adventure! The Xpress Fun train runs a continuous loop around the Parklands, to the delight of young passengers.

Witness in awe as this highly-skilled acrobatic quartet weave and intertwine their way through one another to bring you a display of real life Tetris! Children and adults will have the opportunity to join the troupe on stage to imitate some of their bendy movements as well as create their own.

Sunsuper Riverfire 

Free |28 September, entertainment from 4pm, fireworks 7pm | Cultural Forecourt, South Bank Parklands

Sunsuper Riverfire is Queensland’s ultimate fireworks display, wrapping up Brisbane Festival with a bang featuring fireworks from multiple bridges, barges and city rooftops. Spectators are also treated to aerobatics from the Australian Defence Force.

Kids Collective – Storytime and Planting

Planting is a fantastic way to encourage children in both gardening and healthy eating. In this interactive session kids get their hands dirty planting herbs. As well, storytelling and reading will take place, run by Brisbane City Council Libraries.

Ben Quilty: Family Portrait

As part of the major exhibition ‘Quilty’, the QAGOMA Children's Art Centre presents 'Ben Quilty: Family Portrait'. In this interactive exhibition, leading Australian artist Ben Quilty encourages children and families to explore the art of portraiture in an artist studio setting. 

NASA – A Human Adventure
