Alfresco and arcades

Enjoy the sunshine and treat mum to the endless possibilities that Brisbane City offers. Start your day discovering Brisbane's alfresco dining and finish by strolling through Brisbane’s arcades. Whether your Mum’s traditional or modern, we have the perfect itinerary to suit her.

Room with Roses, Brisbane Arcade and The Gardens Club

Start your morning with a high tea at Room with Roses, located upstairs in the heritage-listed Brisbane Arcade. Room with Roses is one of the most individual dining experiences in Brisbane, with regulars traveling a long way to savour the raspberry cupcakes.

When you’ve finished spoiling Mum with high tea, wander through Brisbane Arcade for some shopping. Built in 1923, Brisbane Arcade is one of the city's oldest shopping destinations. The arcade offers a range of shopping destinations from award-winning fashion designers to antiques and gift stores.

After shopping up a storm, treat yourself and Mum to lunch at The Gardens Club, located in the City Botanic Gardens. A secluded hideaway, this heritage-listed cottage has a delicious seasonal menu with a great selection of dishes for all-day breakfast and lunch. Our recommendation is to dine with Mum outdoors to fully appreciate the lush surrounds.

Dello Mano, Tattersall's Arcade and Moda

Indulge in Dello Mano delights for morning tea. Treat yourself and Mum to a coffee and (of course!) a brownie to start your day off right. Dello Mano’s luxury brownies are crafted from a special family recipe, and are deliciously decadent. If you want to spoil Mum even more, we recommend the high tea at Dello Mano, which is offered each Saturday and Sunday. Choose from the Arcadian or the Chocolate Queen High Tea (hint: there is no wrong choice).

Have some one-on-one time with Mum and shop Brisbane’s most prestigious shopping precinct, Tattersall’s Arcade. The arcade is the ideal shopping destination to find something unique.

For lunch, sit out and bask in the Brisbane sunshine with mum at Moda’s relaxed garden courtyard. The rustic dishes are prepared from fresh seasonal ingredients hand-selected from farmers, growers and producers.

Marchetti and Albert Street Gaming Arcade

Marchetti is a small Italian cafe and wine bar tucked in Tattersall’s Arcade. Think Italian espresso, Italian sweets, wine and delicious food. Our favourites for breakfast are the Tuscan baked eggs which feature florentine borlotti beans in tomato sugo with crisp prosciutto, provolone cheese and crusty pugliese bread. Or if Mum wants to sleep in, you can treat her to an equally delicious lunch at Marchetti instead.

Not really into shopping arcades? No worries, venture to Albert Street’s Gaming Arcade, iPlay. Escape the hustle and bustle of Brisbane City with Mum and entertain yourselves with games galore. Whether you're a diehard Tekken 7 competitor or Mum’s a pro at Dance Dance Revolution you’re sure to bring out her competitive streak.
