Champagne and hot chips

Champagne and hot chips in Brisbane

We've planned the perfect girls night itinerary that combines our two loves—champagne and chips. Fri-nally! Go on a hot chips safari and take bubble breaks at some of our favourite bars. With truffle fries, chip tasting boards and cork-popping champagne lists, you just need to find something to celebrate.

Red Hook Fries

Red Hook Gravy Fries

Head to Red Hook for NYC-inspired chips. This little Brooklyn-style eatery serves bacon and cheese fries AND chilli cheese and brisket fries.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica has a menu dedicated just to fries. Eat your way through the sweet potato, cheese and bacon and the pulled pork fries.

Comuna Cantina

Comuna Cantina

Comuna Cantina offers the best of both worlds: hot chips and corn chips. Their chip tasting board includes potato chips, sweet potato chips, corn chips, and plantains with mild salsa, hot salsa, and chipotle aioli, topped with fresh cheese.

Corbett and Claude

Corbett & Claude laneway

Corbett and Claude have created the best thing ever: halloumi chips. Appreciate the crispy batter surrounding the delicious halloumi chips and dip these bad boys into the accompanying aioli. Bliss. Or go gourmet and try Corbett and Claude’s truffle fries.

The Doughnut Bar

After indulging in all of the savory chips Brisbane City has to offer, we have your dessert planned too—doughnut fries. Frying hand-cut dough into crispy fries and smothering them in cinnamon and sugar is a genius creation.

After savouring the deliciousness of fried, salty chips tantalise your palate with these champagne options that will bring out all of the flavours.

OTTO

Bar OTTO

OTTO is famous for both its riverside views and epic wine list. Drink and snack at Bar OTTO from 3pm or head into OTTO restaurant from 12pm for lunch. If you’re wanting to splurge on champagne, look no further than Charles Heidsieck Brut. This French champagne delivers notes of complexity and richness, a perfect match for a salty chips safari.

River Bar and Kitchen

Riverbar

Brisbane’s Eagle Street Pier is always a winner. Take the girls and wander down to River Bar and Kitchen. Share a bottle of champagne overlooking the breathtaking view of riverside. Our choice of champagne is the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs.

Lennon’s Pool Terrace and Bar

Pool-side champagne - is there anything more Brisbane than that? Lennon’s Pool Terrace and Bar at the Next Hotel delivers the goods with an infinity pool, champagne cocktails and fries to share. Sip your champagne with your friends while you all overlook the sparkling pool and Queen Street Mall.

Cuvée Lounge Bar

Cuvée Lounge Bar

Cuvée offers vintage and non-vintage labels from a selection of the greatest champagne houses in the world. By night, this bar becomes full of subtle lighting, allowing you to fully appreciate the Brisbane skyline.

By Brittany Mohr

Brittany’s ultimate weekend involves wine (rosé) and cheese (manchego) at La Lune, seeing a live show and going for a wander along the Brisbane River. Passionate about the leafy Western suburbs, she’s a lady of fine tastes so naturally her best kept secret is #treatingyo'self to a session at luxe day spa One Wybelenna. Bliss.
