Bar Pacino

With an inimitable outlook of the Story Bridge and Brisbane River from Eagle Street Pier, there’s no better location to drink in the view than Bar Pacino. Order the Italian Platter with cured meats, mixed cheeses, semi-dried tomatoes, crackers and mixed dried fruit and toast to Friday with a glass or bottle of Champagne, rosé, red or white from the drinks menu.

Customs House

Also overlooking the Brisbane River, Customs House has a wintry-themed pop-up bar on the terrace for alfresco wine time on Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm, no reservations required. Drape yourself on furry cushions and throws to enjoy select wines and your choice of cheeses served with pear, truffled honey, walnut bread and housemade lavosh. Or go après-ski at the Veuve Clicquot Winter Chalet. Book an individual igloo and imbibe Veuve Champagne or Rosé with baked brie, thyme and crostini in cosy surrounds. Delish!

In a much-anticipated addition, the City Winery team bring their urban winery experience to Brisbane City. Located amid the international designer boutiques on Edward Street, the pop-up cellar door and wine centre offers several signature experiences. Book online for blending workshops, wine flights accompanied by cheese boards and wine and cheese pairing events. Or visit and select a bottle or two to take home and sip at your leisure.

Prefer to DIY and pack a picnic for the park?  

We love The Cheese Pleaser on Adelaide Street for our picnic provisions. Place your order online for pickup between Friday and Sunday at Nota Restaurant on Given Terrace. Choose a ready-made cheese hamper, or create your own platter with soft, hard and semi-hard and blue cheese varieties and add condiments, saucisson and biscuits plus red, wine, rosé or sparkling wines.

You can also pre-order The Westin Brisbane Gourmet Picnic Hamper at least 48 hours in advance for your indoor or outdoor soiree.
