Oysters receive the SoCal treatment at Riverland Brisbane, are served South American-style at Rico Bar & Dining and freshly shucked with native mignonette from Blackbird Bar & Grill.

Local Moreton Bay bugs can be consumed in Custom House’s brioche roll with citrus mayo, dill and salmon pearls, barbecued at George’s Paragon Seafood Restaurant and Korean-style at Madame Wu with spicy gochujang chilli sauce.

Shellfish is not the only culinary star at Sea to the City – seafood in all forms is celebrated. Feast on Naga Thai restaurant’s yum kao tord – baby barramundi with sesame seeds, coriander, ginger and shallots served with sweet chilli and arjad sauce. Or splash out on a chilled seafood platter of oysters, king prawns, bugs, scallops and mussels from Fatcow Steak & Lobster. For portable bites, we can’t wait to try Friday’s barramundi and nori spring rolls and fish tacos from Riverbar & Kitchen.
