Steaks and Live Music in Brisbane City
Brisbane City is home to world-class Australian steaks sourced from some of the world’s most coveted and in-demand beef producers. Plus, Brisbane has a vibrant and constantly evolving live music scene. What better combo than a good steak and live tunes? We’ve rounded up The City’s best in beef and live music venues to guarantee you a great night out on the town.

If you’re looking for an exclusive range of world-class beef, Black Hide by Gamboro is the place to go. Located in the Treasury Casino building, this high-rolling steakhouse serves premium quality Wagyu, Angus and dry-aged beef from Australian beef and cattle company, Stanbroke. If that doesn’t convince you, their Wagyu fat-roasted potatoes and red wine jus will surely change your mind.

Since its opening, Blackbird has grown into one of Brisbane’s finest restaurants with 180-degree views of the Brisbane River and a stellar beef menu. The extensive beef selection includes none other than the Mayura Wagyu Tomahawk. Tipping the scales at 1.5-2kg means it’s meant to be shared – so grab your three closest mates to finish off this beast.

In the heart of Brisbane City, heritage-listed Port Office Hotel serves some of Brisbane’s best steaks. From Wagyu rump cap to MB 2+ Tomahawk, all epic steaks come with your choice of sauce, truffle chips and cos salad. If you’re a serious carnivore, this is a sure-fire way to start your night.

Located in Old Mineral House, Walter's Steakhouse overlooks the iconic Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. Unlike other restaurants, Walter’s focuses on the quality of their steaks, rather than a specific region to source its beef. The steaks are all cut and dry-aged in house, and there are a variety of delicious sides to add to the flavour, from creamed spinach to minted peas and onion.

No guesses here for what this wine bar and grill prides itself on. Located at the Port Office Building (opposite the Port Office Hotel), expect premium quality export beef, along with some sensational Australian and international wine.

If you’re looking for a traditional steak that’s served with British-inspired sides, Pig ‘N' Whistle is a must. Located at Riverside and King George Square, Pig ‘N’ Whistle also has live music every night. Listen to some tunes while devouring the 500g dry-aged sirloin on the bone with your choice of two sides.

Steak, lobster and whisky? The holy trinity! Located on the river at Eagle St Pier, this popular restaurant and bar serves up wood-fired Wagyu beef. From eye fillet to tomahawk, enjoy a complimentary side with each steak.
