What’s on in The City in June
June is jam-packed with things to do, see, eat and experience in Brisbane City. From Aussie cheese and wine trails to alfresco cinemas, pop-up igloo bars to magical high teas, there are plenty of FREE and ticketed events that will appeal to all ages, plus it’s so easy to visit The City via public transport or drive and park. Grab your significant other and snuggle up to watch your fave romantic comedy flicks every Wednesday in June from 5-8pm in Post Office Square. The FREE alfresco cinema experience – back by popular demand – kicks off from 2 June with the singalong classic, Mamma Mia!, and ends with Zac Efron in 17 Again on 30 June. Australia’s first and original igloo bar returns to Customs House on 3 June with Veuve Clicquot in the Snow. Blending Veuve Clicquot Champagne, an enticing menu of decadent bites and an exclusive Berries & Bubbles gin cocktail, the pop-up alfresco riverside bar will channel Euro chalet vibes in a quintessential Brisbane location. Treasury Brisbane Wine & Cheese – Australian Edition
Embark on a wine and cheese trail within the iconic Treasury Hotel and Courtyard on Friday 11 June from 5:30-7pm. The indulgent journey of bubbles, charcuterie, wine tastings and cheese sampling with an Australian flavour will be accompanied by live entertainment for a sophisticated night out.
Flashback to the 1980s with a fun-filled Friday night of old-school hits, classic cocktails and top-notch food at Blackbird Brisbane on the river.
