Nature | The City - Visit Brisbane

Nature in The City

Anzac Square Park

You wouldn’t expect a bustling city centre to be home to a wealth of sub-tropical natural wonderments, but Brisbane’s CBD definitely is!

Immerse yourself in the multitude of beautiful green spaces perfect for lunch with friends or a quick break from the hustle of city life. Stop by Anzac Square Park, Queen’s Park and Post Office Square, to name a few.

The beautiful Roma Street Parkland is perfect for weekend picnics with friends and family thanks to the great picnic areas, lakes, barbecue facilities, children’s playground, subtropical rainforest and spectacular city views!

A must-visit is of course the City Botanic Gardens. It’s Brisbane’s oldest park, originally planted by convicts in 1825 with food crops to feed the prison colony. The gardens include ancient trees, rainforest glades and exotic species and run the full length of Alice St. It’s the perfect place to visit for a green haven during the working week or on the weekend with friends and family.
