Join us at The Sound Society
Brisbane is blessed with some of the world’s most enviable parklands – couple that with our penchant for live music and you have The Sound Society, an innately home-grown experience.
Held at Roma Street Parkland monthly from March to November, The Sound Society offers free live music surrounded by pristine lawns, a glistening water wall and magnificent banyan trees.
Artists change each month and play a range of music from jazz to funk, soul and beyond, so there’s always something new to enjoy. Music kicks off at 11am and continues through to 2pm.
Because no outing is complete without tasty treats, make sure you pack a picnic of your own delicious making to dine on throughout, or support local and swing by The Garden Room to collect a pre-ordered, expertly curated hamper, laden with home-made dips, deli meat and farmhouse cheeses. Pre-order your hamper via The Garden Room website. There’ll also be a different food truck onsite each month.
Those who enjoy a cheeky beverage or two are also welcome to bring a bottle of your favourite drop to sip on. The event is often held at Celebration Lawn, which is licensed from 10am-8pm daily. However, you must be 18+ to drink and your drinks must be accompanied by food. Ready to plan your visit? The upcoming program is below.
Sunday 4 September | Lakeside Lawn | 11am-4pm
September’s line-up features country quartet The Long Johns and award-winning French-Balkan band Mzaza. Food truck details are coming soon.
Please note that in celebration of spring, September’s Sound Society is a special extended edition that goes until 4pm.
