Life on the wild side

Cuddle koalas and hand-feed kangaroos at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary or wander through the subtropical aviary at Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre.

For marine life, you can’t beat a trip to Moreton Island/ Mulgumpin where you can hand-feed bottlenose dolphins with Tangalooma Island Resort’s expert Eco-Rangers.

Head to the Scenic Rim for animal experiences in the hinterland. Here you can meet the predators of the sky at the Birds of Prey Show at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, say hello to the gentle camels at Summer Land Camels, milk the cows at Tommerup’s Dairy Farm, or picnic with your new fluffy friends at Mountview Alpaca Farm.
